25 Sep Why we chose “Happy Birth-Day”

The name Happy Birth-Day was one of those things that just stick with you, suddenly and unshakably. When I was trying to come up with a name that could really represent what I wanted my work to, without using a lot of words, and was going through the several options in my head, my friend @thebarbershopwithshantanu breezily said it should be something short and simple, like “happy birth-day”. I remember thinking, wow! Why didn’t I think of it myself? As someone whose vision is that birth(that of a baby AND mother) should be seen with happy and empowering feelings rather than those of pain and agony, what could represent it better than the wish that we have been mouthing out since ages.. HAPPY BIRTH-DAY!
